What to Expect of Your Superfly Content Creator
Hint: It’s a little bit of magic and a whole lot of planning.

If you’ve opened up this blog and settled in for a squiz, your interest in wedding content creation services has piqued for a reason. Perhaps you possess a general curiosity, or your interest is a little more serious; you’re either just about to book a content creator, or you already have. If you fall into the latter category, we’d like to say you’ve made an excellent choice (particularly if you book in with yours truly at Superfly Socials - of course!).
If you’re still looking to book a content creator, this blog is for you.
We know you’re likely wondering: what exactly will a content creator get up to as they float around with gadgets in their hands and a power bank tucked into their sock? And what should I expect before, during and after the event?
Fair questions. We hope that in answering them, you’ll come to better understand what you’re looking for, what we do, and trust that we’ll have you covered. Here’s a peek behind the lens, both at content creation services in general and also what we specifically do here at Superfly Socials.

Before the Event: The Plot Begins
About a week or two out, your friendly Superfly content creator (or creators) will be in touch for a proper debrief (sometimes, a few of them!).
We’ll ask for the event schedule so that they can follow the day’s events and ensure they don’t miss a thing. We’ll also ask for your photographer’s and/or videographer’s details (if applicable) and about your other vendors, as they bring a lot of colour to the day, and we like to highlight their contributions.
Your content creator will want to know all about the vibe you’re going for: romantic, cinematic, fun? Are you a trendy TikTok couple or more into vintage glamour? A content creator will want to know which platforms you intend to upload the content to, and they’ll devise a shot list.
At Superfly Socials, we like to pinpoint the key moments that matter most to you. Perhaps it’s a traditional tea ceremony, a surprise musical performance or a romantic ‘first look’ before the ceremony. Often, couples will incorporate parts of their personalities or in-jokes they share with one another into their day with friends, and these are often the most shareable pieces of content post-event.
We also like to ask for the names of special people you’d like us to highlight, such as your parents, the wedding party, or that colleague who’s really more like a second Mum. We will also ask about your shoot locations so that we can familiarise ourselves with the standout features of a place even before we arrive. We ask about the cultures that will be present and any traditions that might be honoured.
Long story short - we want to make sure we don’t miss a thing. We know - it’s a lot to discuss! And we wouldn’t have it any other way, because our goal is to capture the spirit of the day as authentically as possible.
On the Day: Everywhere at Once
Your content creator should be quietly everywhere at once. Your content creator should arrive early because their primary task is usually to capture all the gorgeous details of the spaces where the wedding party is getting ready - the dress hanging in the window and the flowers at the door.
They’ll come with gadgets galore. Depending on what you’ve agreed they should capture, they could have a phone, DSLR camera, camcorder, gimbal, tripod, tiny microphones, and chargers for days.
You might spot them crouched in a corner, filming confetti falling or your guests embracing one another. Think less paparazzi, more friendly shadow. Of course, if you’ve asked them to direct some staged content like a TikTok trend, they’ll need to lead the way - it all comes down to the pre-event chat.
Clips will be short and sweet. Creators usually film for around ten seconds at a time and generally in vertical format, so they’re Instagram reel and TikTok ready. Expect a variety of content, from close-ups of the champagne bubbles and florals to the tear-jerking moment of the dress reveal.
If you book with Superfly Socials, your content may include iPhone photos, short-form video, DSLR shots, camcorder footage and even a few surprise interviews with your guests. We work harmoniously with your photography and videography team to ensure we overlap as little as possible and, instead, complement one another beautifully.

After the Event: Editing in Pyjamas
Within 24-48 hours, your content creator will be in deep editing mode, probably powered by too much caffeine and their favourite playlist on repeat.
They’ll send over a curated selection of clips, maybe even a sneak peek story or reel. Within a couple of days, you can expect your complete package: neatly labelled folders of raw content, short videos with music, captions if needed, and content that’s begging to be posted.
In Short
Hiring a content creator isn’t just paying for someone to film on their phone. Your content creator needs to know how to plan their content creation and tell a sweeping narrative of the day, as well as a collection of short stories. They need a keen eye for detail and composition. Content creators must be able to think quickly on their feet, understand that timing is everything and somehow know how to navigate the capture of key moments without getting in the way. You need someone creative, socially savvy, switched on, and ready to walk fine lines as they make it all look effortless.
They’re there to capture as much as is humanly possible, weave it into something extraordinary and hand it back to you in a format that’s ready to share straight away, keep, or post when the moment feels right.
So, what can you expect from Superfly’s content creation services? A whole lot of planning and a touch of flair, all wrapped up for you to keep.
